1. What is the name of your
blog and how did you come up with it??
My Blog is called the Drastic
Fantastic. I picked this name for two reasons. First it describes that karma
that seems to surround me. I have a lot of unfortunate/bad luck, whatever you
want to call it, happen to me on a regular basis. When this bad luck does
strike it does so in a grand ,and dramatic fashion. It’s kind of a running
joke. Trouble and disaster seem to follow me and my family thinks it’s funny. Car
problems, my Ipod getting stolen, or flooding in my apartment, you name it I’ve
probably experienced it. There’s a reason my sister calls me “Hurricane Hillary.”
2. What
do you love the most about blogging??
First, I
love just sharing my ideas and what I’m passionate about. Second, I love reading people’s comments and
finding connections with others. It’s
nice to see what readers agree/disagree with and what interests you have in
common.
3. What are your 2 favorite
posts you've written?
I had to
pick 3. Sorry
If you
don’t know this about me, I tend to be slightly cynical, and I am obsessed
about the new Les Miserables movie coming out in December. So I wrote this when
news came out that Taylor Swift was going to cast in the movie.
4. What is something you'd
want to tell someone just starting out in blog world?
Blogging
doesn’t need to be about networking and advertising. You can blog just for yourself.
I write about fun and important experiences, things I am excited about or lessons
I have learned. Basically blogging can be fun so don’t get caught up or
discouraged by the numbers. (views, followers, or comments)
5. Biggest blogging
learning experience you've had?
Don’t be
afraid to put yourself out there, you never know who might be looking for a
blog like yours. Just write what feel or what you’re passionate about. If you
find a blog you really love or that you want to follow, don’t be afraid to let
them know. Leave a comment. You never know who might stop by your blog to say
or hi.
6. Give us 3 blogs we NEED to
be following that you love.
Bangers& Mash Tees-so many funny family stories.
Oh man, I wouldn't want to be known for be associated with random disasters! That's rough. I bet sometimes they make a good story in retrospect...but that's pretty terrible in the moment! And in blogging--being friendly, like you said, is a great thing. You can have a blog just for you...but it's more fun others read along, too!
