Gary Oldman
Reuniting with Tom Hardy for 'Child 44' Soviet Thriller
Despite
being fatally injured by the henchman of Tom Hardy as Bane in The
Dark Knight Rises, it sounds like Gary Oldman doesn't
hold any grudges as Heat Vision reports The
Fifth Element and
recently added cast member of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will reteam with the Batman villain
for the thriller Child 44 from Safe House director Daniel
Espinosa. Hardy is leading the story written by Richard Price (Ransom and Shaft) and based on Tom Rob Smith's novel of the same name (the first in a trilogy), which also features Prometheus star Noomi Rapace and new RoboCop Joel Kinnaman as the film's murderous villain. Read on!
Val Kilmer
& Anthony Edwards Are Fighter Jets in Full 'Planes' Cast
Just
recently we learned that Dane
Cook would star in the seemingly
disappointing Cars spin-off Planes from Disney Animation (not
Pixar). But now the full voice cast for the film has been revealed, and while
it certainly feels like the cast of a direct-to-DVD feature film, there are a
couple of fun treats. For example, Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards are playing two fighter jets named
Bravo and Echo, a throwback to their days in the Danger Zone from Top
Gun. In addition, the cast of characters also includes Skipper (Stacy Keach), Lead bottom (Cedric the Entertainer), Dottie (Teri Hatcher) and many, many more. Keep reading.
Liebesman's
'Ninja Turtles' Casts Leonardo, Donatello & Michelangelo
Last Friday, word came out that "Smallville" star Alan Ritchson had been cast as the hot-headed Raphael in Jonathan Liebesman's upcoming Ninja Turtles reboot, joining Megan Fox as April O'Neil. Today, Deadline discovered who will be playing the remaining trio of alien heroes, and they're not any more recognizable than Ritchson: Pete Ploszek will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard will play Donatello and Noel Fisher will take the role of Michaelangelo, and each will wear motion capture suits similar to what the James Cameron outfitted his actors with in Avatar. Find out more about this young trio below. Read on!
Kiefer
Sutherland to Play Villain in Paul W.S. Anderson's 'Pompeii'
Former
"24" star Kiefer Sutherland hasn't
headlined a movie since 2008, instead focusing his career on television
projects and trying to find a steady audience for his new Fox series
"Touch." There's been talk of a "24" movie for quite some
time, but potential director Antoine Fuqua recently
revealed that the project was
dead, so we've been wondering what kind of role would bring Sutherland back to
the big screen, and now that question has been answered. THR reports
that Sutherland is in final talks to play the villain in Paul W.S. Anderson's disaster movie Pompeii, which takes place in Italy
during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Keep Reading.
