Eye of the Beholder

For lack of attention a thousand forms of loveliness elude us every day ~Evelyn Underhill
I love beautiful things. Things that make me stop and take a second look, things that keep me thinking or demand consideration, things that make me cry, things that grab that extra moment of my time. That is how I measure Beauty.
I really like Stargazers!!! They delicate and vibrant at the same time

There are many pieces of Art that I like, but Starry Starry Night is astounding.

She Walks in Beauty by Lord Byron
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

To Me Words are Some of the most Powerful things in the world. Words can be gorgeous and lovely and kind and charming and enticing. Words can also be demeaning and hurtful and scarring.

I love any type of creative talent. Its fascinating to me to see what people engineer from nothing but an idea in their head. Seeing people display their talent touches me. It gives me something to admire and enjoy. It also is a great motivation to me. It makes me want to improve myself and do something productive and effective with my time. It gives me the push i need to set goals for myself and to work on my own talents. In short, more often than not it makes me want to be better.

This clip is from the movie Chicago and it makes complete sense in context of the story. I think Its just a pure work of genius. Its clever and brilliant and really just fun.

So what I'm trying to say in a long winded way is that Life is full of good and beautiful things. It all is just a matter of perspective. Its up to us to find the good along with the bad each day.
