Sunday Social 67

1.  What is the name of your blog?
My Blog is called the Drastic Fantastic. I picked this name for two reasons. First it describes that karma that seems to surround me. I have a lot of unfortunate/bad luck, whatever you want to call it, happen to me on a regular basis. When this bad luck does strike it does so in a grand ,and dramatic fashion. It’s kind of a running joke. Trouble and disaster seem to follow me and my family thinks it’s funny. Car problems, my Ipod getting stolen, or flooding in my apartment, you name it I’ve probably experienced it. There’s a reason my sister calls me “Hurricane Hillary.”

2.  What do you love most about blogging?
I love getting so excited and passionate about something that I just have to share it. I also love taking the time to gather my thoughts and write them down even if they aren’t articulated particularly well.

3. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging just to keep a journal of fun or meaningful experiences for myself.  It was a quick way to write about what’s happening to me and store pictures.

3.  What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world?
Blog about what you love. Keep a notebook or something handy. Whenever you have an interesting thought or idea for a blog post, write it down. There’s nothing worse than sitting down at the computer and having writer’s block. Don't stress over numbers (comments, followers, etc.)
5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, you never know who might be looking for a blog like yours. If you find a blog you really love or that you want to follow, don’t be afraid to let them know. Leave a comment. You never know who return the favor and stop by your blog.

6. What are three blogs you love?

  1. I should start keeping a blog idea journal or log. That's a great idea.

  2. I need to stop stressing on numbers, when did I start caring about that anyway? That's not why I write so why care.
